Jinja was previously the industrial capital of Uganda. It is the best known for the source of the Nile and now sub merged Rippon Falls. Owen Falls Dam is located just down stream from the source of its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean from Lake Victoria. Join us to see the source of the Nile and the surrounding environment. Activities include white water rafting and flat water canoeing totally different experiences one should really not miss.
Depart from Kampala, heading east to Jinja passing coffee, tea, sugar plantations and colorful road side fruit /vegetable markets. Stop at Mabira Forest to see primates, birds and butterflies and on to the Owen Falls Dam and the submerged source of the Nile. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Bujagali falls where several rapids are situated close together. Overnight at your lodge.
Enjoy full day rafting along the Nile. You will enjoy the quiet of the water and know the quiet times of the day. In the evening, drive back to Kampala, reaching your hotel late in the evening.
