Tour Kibale National Park, one of the loveliest and most varied tracts of Uganda’s tropical forest on this 2 days (1 night) adventure safari. Interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, this tropical rain forest is home to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primate including the chimpanzee.
To those who like birds, the forest contains over 375 species of birds. Go chimpanzee tracking, bird watching, nature trekking and sight seeing on this adventure trip.
Early in the morning head out of Kampala for Fortportal traveling via Mubende. Have a lunch stop over enroute possibly at Mityana or Mubende. On arrival in Fortportal, take nature walk and sightseeing adventures through the crater lake region. You can also opt to travel to the Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru, the Omukama’s palace and Karambi tombs if you like community tours. In the evening check into the lodge, refresh and have rest. Dinner and overnight at Ndali lodge, Rwenzori View Guest house /Primate Lodge Cottage.
Early in the morning report to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. Led by a forest guide, have an early entry into the tropical rain forest for the adventure day; tracking the wild chimpanzees of Kibale National Park. You will locate the chimps by listening for their pant-hooting calls, then hustle to the area from which they are calling. You may also see the Black and White Colobus Monkeys; Black faced Red Colobus, Red Tailed Monkeys, Olive Baboons and an incredible array of bird life, including the Great Blue Turaco. In the afternoon travel back to Kampala arriving in the late evening.
