The journey of adventure starts with a departure from Kampala after breakfast and for Lake Mburo National Park located in Kiruhura district, western Uganda. The journey takes you along the Kampala – Masaka highway enjoying splendid views of the beautiful scenery across both roads. Take a brief stopover at Kayabwe equator for photography and refreshment. Continue to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s newest and smallest savanna park. On your arrival, start with your adventure with an afternoon game drive through the park. Possible wild animals that can be seen include impalas, zebras, buffalos, topis, elands, oribis and many others. Dinner and overnight at Rwonyo campsite
Wake up early in the morning for a game drive to cathch up with the early risers. Later, return to the lodge for a late breakfast and relax. After lunch, have a boat trip on Lake Mburo. During the trip, you will view several water birds as well as several animals enjoying a bath or a drink in the Mburo waters that include Hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes etc. possible bird sightings the sought after Papyrus Gonolek, Brown-faced lapwings, Carruther’s Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler, Bare-faced Go-away bird etc.. Today continue your wildlife adventure safari down to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most popular park for game viewing in Uganda. As you enter the park, enjoy a game drive within the park. Wild animals usually seen in Queen Elizabeth National Park include leopards, warthogs, antelope species, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, elephants, hippos, tree climbing lions etc On your arrival, have lunch and proceed for the launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Start your adventure with an early morning trip to the nearby Kyambura Gorge. Spend the entire morning tracking the high-speed and subtle chimpanzees. When chimp tracking, the walking activity is captivating while the viewing may be changeable. Depending on time, after the chimpanzee tracking experience, take a nature walk in the Maramagambo forest where tour will visit the bat colony, the blue lake and the Kamira Njojo Lake. Enjpy early morning game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens’s mile in the park. During the drive you will see different animals. Possible wild animals that can be seen along these tracks include tree climbing lions, elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, and spotted hyenas, mongoose, waterbucks, Kobs and many more. Check out of the lodge and embark on your return trip to Kampala reaching late in the evening.
