Explore Kidepo National Park, Uganda’s most isolated national park found some 700km from Kampala along the border of Uganda and Sudan. Located in the north eastern part of Uganda, Kidepo is notably the most magnificent and ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. The park hosts one of the most exciting faunas of any Uganda safari park. This include the greater and lesser kudu, elands and cheetahs not found elsewhere in Africa as well as carnivores that include the lion, leopard, spotted hyena and black-backed and side-striped jackals, large mammals that include elephant, Burchell’s zebra, bushpig, warthog, Rothschild’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, bushbuck, bushduiker, Defassa waterbuck, Bohor reedbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest and oribi etc.
Later travel to Murchison Falls National Park, one of the best safari parks for game viewing in Uganda. Take a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Hike to the top of the falls and marvel at the waters squeezing through the narrow gorge to form Africa’s most scenic falls.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Raft the Nile
After breakfast travel to Jinja, East of Kampala. Jinja is the adventure capital of Uganda and it is most renowned for being the home to the Source of the Nile River. Visit the Source of the Nile River. Have Lunch in Jinja. Travel to Mbale, the cleanest town in Eastern Uganda. Overnight at the Mbale Resort (Midrange) / Elgon Hotel
Day 2: Sipi Falls Adventure
In the morning visit the caves on the Mount Elgon. You can take a nature walk up to the beautiful Sipi Falls. Travel to Pian Upe Game Reserve, one of the least explored destinations in Uganda. There is interesting wildlife in this wildlife reserve including possible sightings of cheetahs. This is also the best place to see ostriches in Uganda. Day 3: Travel to Kidepo National Park
Morning game drive in Pian Upe National Park. There are possibilities to see some interesting game. Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park, the best place to see cheetahs. You will reach the park in the afternoon. Other wildlife to look out during the game drive include elephants, leopard, bush duiker, jackal, bush buck, bush pig, Kavirondo bush baby, buffalo and much more. Overnight at Kidepo Savanna Lodge (Budget) / Ngamoru Camp (Midrange) / Apoka Lodge (Luxury).
Day 4: Tour Kidepo National Park
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive within the park. Enjoy game drives along the Narus River Valley. Possible wildlife that can be seen include carnivores unique to Kidepo and Karamoja region that include the bat-eared fox, striped hyena, Aardwolf, Caracal, cheetah and hunting dog. There are high chances of viewing tree climbing lions that always sit on sausage trees along the Narus valley or on rock just as you enter the Kidepo park headquarters. In the afternoon after lunch go for a local village visit to Karimojong peoples of Karenna and Kapedo. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Kidepo Savanna Lodge (Budget) / Ngamoru Camp (Midrange) / Apoka Lodge (Luxury).
Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Travel to Gulu
Morning game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park. Take a visit to the splendid Kidepo River valley dominated by Borassus palm forest! From Kidepo River Valley, visit the Kanangorok Hot Springs, which are located only 11 km from Kidepo River valley. Have lunch. Travel to Gulu Town in Northern Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Gulu Churchill Courts (Budget) / African Roots Guest House or Bomah Hotel (Midrange)
Day 6: Travel Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast drive to Murchison Falls National Park (2 Hours). This is the largest conservation area in Uganda and one of the best national parks for game viewing in Uganda. There are lots of animals to see in the park. These include lions, leopards, vast species of antelopes, buffaloes, elephants etc. Check into the lodge. In the evening go for an evening game drive on the northern banks of the Nile River. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Camp (Budget) / Pakuba Safari Lodge or Murchison River Lodge (Midrange) / Paraa Safari Lodge or Bakers Lodge (Luxury)
Day 7: Game Drive
After an early breakfast, go for a game drive in the northern part of the park. There are lots of animals to see on a game drive. Possible sightings include elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Jackson Hartebeests, Uganda kobs, oribis and waterbucks. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat cruise to the Bottom of the Falls. The launch cruise gives an exciting panoramic view of the mighty Murchison Falls squeezing itself through a narrow gorge. Expect to see various animals that include crocodiles, hippos, etc. Lots of birds can be seen at the river banks and these include African kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison Camp (Budget) / Pakuba Safari Lodge or Murchison River Lodge (Midrange) / Paraa Safari Lodge or Bakers Lodge (Luxury)
Day 8: Return to Kampala
Morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Embark on a return trip to Kampala. Have a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a breeding area for the white rhinos in Uganda. You will track the rhinos on foot. Have Lunch and then drive back to Kampala traveling through the famous Luweero Triangle.
