This 5 Days (4 Nights) safari takes you to both Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Lake Bunyonyi. The UNESCO world heritage site of Bwindi is the best place to see mountain gorillas in the world. This forest park is home to almost half of the world’s remaining population of the rare mountain gorillas in Uganda. The park protects an estimated 440 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population. There are several habituated gorilla groups, which can be tracked on foot while in the forest. Travelling to this mist-covered hillsides for gorilla trekking is one of the most thrilling adventures you can take in Africa.
After the gorilla trek, you will take a leisurely holiday at the Lake Bunyonyi, a place also renowned as the Switzerland of Africa.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. (8 Hours drive)
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Nature Walk or Batwa Visit.
Day 3: Travel to the nearby Lake Bunyonyi, the Switzerland of Africa.
Day 4: Canoe Ride along the Lake Bunyonyi. Nature Walks

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi
Early start off from Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Enroute have a stop over at the Equator for photos. This is the place where the Equator divides the world into two equal parts. You will take a photography while standing in both hemispheres. You can take a Cup of Coffee. Continue to Mbarara town, the land of milk for lunch. After lunch proceed reaching Bwindi late in the evening. Relax at the lodge as you await for the next day gorilla trek. Dinner and overnight at

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
Early Breakfast. Report to the Park headquarters for briefing on gorilla tracker’s code of conduct. This will be done by a park officials who will advise you on how you should behave when you face the mountain gorillas in their family. Thereafter a park ranger will lead you into the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. Maximum time with the mountain gorillas is one hour and this is strictly observed. The moment spent with these huge apes is exhilarating; the minutes will go by before you realize it. Feel free to ask the guide any questions about the great apes. You may observe other resident primates whilst on your tracking expedition like pottos, bush babies and monkeys. Dinner and overnight at

Day 3: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, drive to the nearby Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi (a habitat for birds) is the most scenic volcanic lake in the world and has 25 islands scattered across this seemingly static water body. The islands include the punishment highland where umarried pregnant girls were abandoned as a punsihment against the behavior of the time. Relax at the beautiful shores of the lake while getting a treat from the singing birds from which the place attains its in name. Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi Adventures
Today, after your breakfast, go on a boat ride to explore some of the 25 islands and view beautiful scenery. Visit one of the islands in Lake Bunyonyi. You can visit the Punishment Island and rewind back into the sad stories of the past. You can also visit a Batwa Commnity that live within the island. OR visit the Bakiga people who live in this part of Uganda. After wards you will retire to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Relax all evening and enjoy your holiday.
Day 5: Return to Kampala
After a morning breakfast, return back to Kampala stopping en-route for lunch and arriving in the early evening.
