Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Lunch in Mbarara. Arrive in Bwindi in the afternoon.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Optional nature walk or community tour in the afternoon.
Day 3: After breakfast, return to Kampala.

Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi Forest
After an early morning breakfast, our tour guide will pick you from your hotel or point of departure and embark on a 10 hour drive to the south western part of Uganda. Have a stop over at the Equator. You can have a cup of coffee. Continue with the journey to Bwindi making a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. En-route to Bwindi, you will enjoy sightseeing all the way. Many attractions can be seen through your window including the long curved horned cattle, acacia woodlands, large banana plantations and the rolling green hills of Kabale nick named the “Switzerland of Uganda” etc. Dinner and overnight at

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast, the tour guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for a briefing from the park destination guide about the gorilla tracking activity. After the briefing, start hiking into the forest on the search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be prepared to move long distances and don’t forget to bring all the necessary equipment to track the mountain gorillas. Upon meeting the gentle giants in their natural habitat you have a full hour to spend sometime with them. During the watching session you can take photos with no flash on your camera. After the trek, return to the lodge and relax all evening.
