Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Pickup
On arrival you will be picked from the Entebbe International Airport and be transferred to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Located within Lake Victoria, this island is a safe haven to orphaned and rescued chimpanzees. You will visit the chimpanzees as they feed. Return to Entebbe. The driver will drive you to Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Overnight at HBT Russel Hotel (Budget) / Cassia Lodge (Midrange) / Serena Hotel Kampala.

Day 2: Explore Jinja, the Adventure Capital of Uganda

After breakfast travel to Jinja, East of Kampala. Jinja is the adventure capital of Uganda and it is most renowned for being the home to the Source of the Nile River. Along the way have a stopover at Mabira Forest. You can go for a zipline or a nature walk within the largest tropical rain forest in Central Uganda.  You will have lunch in Jinja Town. Day 3: Raft the Nile

Day 4: Sipi Falls Adventure

Day 5: Travel to Pian Upe Game Reserve

After breakfast, travel to Pian Upe Game Reserve, one of the least explored destinations in Uganda. There is interesting wildlife in this wildlife reserve including possible sightings of cheetahs. Day 6: Kidepo National Park

Morning game drive in Pian Upe Game Reserve. After breakfast drive to Kidepo Valley National Park. Located at the extreme north eastern part of Uganda, this is one of the best national parks in Africa. You will reach the park in the afternoon. Day 7: Game drives in Kidepo Valley National Park
After a hearty breakfast, continue your drive to Kidepo valley National Park. On arrival, take a game drive in the park. Drive to the south western part of the park (Narus valley). View the Napore Nyangea mountain ranges, Lokayot hills and Morungole range marks. Possible wildlife sightings include lions, zebras, elephants, giraffe, eland, oribi and cheetah. To birders, the park is rewarding with many birds including the hammer kop and ostrich. After lunch have a guided walk in the park. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of beautiful mountains. Day 8: Game Drive and Transfer to Gulu

Day 9: Travel Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast drive to Murchison Falls National Park (2 Hours). This is the largest conservation area in Uganda and one of the best national parks for game viewing in Uganda. There are lots of animals to see in the park. These include lions, leopards, vast species of antelopes, buffaloes, elephants etc. Check into the lodge. In the evening go for an evening game drive on the northern banks of the Nile River. Day 10: Game Drive

After an early breakfast, go for a game drive in the northern part of the park. There are lots of animals to see on a game drive. Possible sightings include elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Jackson Hartebeests, Uganda kobs, oribis and waterbucks. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat cruise to the Bottom of the Falls. The launch cruise gives an exciting panoramic view of the mighty Murchison Falls squeezing itself through a narrow gorge. Expect to see various animals that include crocodiles, hippos, etc. Lots of birds can be seen at the river banks and these include African kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. Day 11: Kibale Forest National Park

Today you will travel to Fort Portal town in Westerm Uganda. The journey takes you through the Albertine Rift. Expect to see the rural side of Uganda including villages, agricultural plantations and beautiful scenic places. You will have lunch at Fortportal Town, a touristic town. Day 12: Chimpanzee Tracking In Kibale Forest

An early morning go for a chimpanzee tracking experience at Kibale Forest National Park. Assemble at the Kanyankyu Tourist Centre and start off with the search for the wild chimpanzees. Kibale national is a habitat for more than 10 primate species, which include, black & white coleus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys among the many. After lunch, go on for a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This nature walk is organized by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organization formed in 1992 with the aim of achieving social and economic development for local communities. Take a guided and walk around the swamp, which is home to approximately 137 bird species. Some of the birds to see include the Snowy Headed Robin Cat, Black and White Casqued Hornbill, Emerald Cuckoo and a variety of Weavers, Warblers, Greenbuls and Sunbirds. There’s also an abundance of Butterflies. It’s also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus. DAY 13: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, go for a nature walk in the Crater Lakes Region. Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park located at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Upon entering the park, you may see some of the wildlife that call the park its home. Have Lunch. Go for an evening game drive in the park. DAY 14: A Launch Cruise Along the Kazinga Channel

After a cup of coffee, Embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile in the park and expect to see Lions, Elephants, cape buffalo, Warthogs, leopard, hyena, mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and lots many small animals and birds. After lunch, enjoy the unique evening 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. DAY 15: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the remaining population of the mountain gorillas. The journey takes you through the southern sector of the park. Here look out for the famous tree climbing lions as they rest up in the large fig trees. You will have lunch in Bwindi. In the afternoon, go for a community walk through the near by villages. DAY 16: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

An early breakfast after which you proceed to the park offices for a briefing, then continue on the trek. We advise you bring with hiking shoes, long pants and long sleeved shirts for the trek. DAY 17: Transfer to Uganda Lake Bunyonyi

Day 19: Lake Mburo

After breakfast you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park, the most close national park to Kampala. This is the smallest of all savanna national parks in Uganda. In the afternoon, go for a boat ride along the Lake Mburo. You will see some of the wildlife that come for a drink at the shores of the Lake. Day 20: Kampala

Early in the morning you will go for a game drive in Lake Mburo National to catch with the early risers. You will return to the lodge for breakfast and then drive back to Kampala. Drop off at the hotel or Airport.
