Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning, our driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel for a trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a world biosphere reserve with a lot of wildlife. Depart from Kampala and head to the southwest of the country making various stopovers; at the Equator in Masaka for photographs, souvenirs and coffee and at Mbarara for lunch. You will arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in the afternoon, enjoying game viewing along the way. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Game Drives & Boat Cruises

The day begins with an early morning game drive within the park. Head to the mating ground, a place characterized with lots of early risers that include the Uganda Kobs. Continue through the Ishasha Sector looking for the tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning to the lodge/camp for lunch. In the afternoon, take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George characterized by lots of wildlife that include schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and other animals that come for a drink in the afternoon. The Kazinga channel is also a famous place to see water birds.

Day 3: Return to Kampala

Start your day with another morning game drive. Optional chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge can also be arranged if you would love to see the fast moving chimpanzees of the Ishasha Sector. Embark on your return trip to Kampala arriving in the evening.
