Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park

Day 2: Game Drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat ride along the Lake Mburo.

Day 3: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s population of the mountain gorillas. Relax all Evening.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 5: Return to Kampala.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, our guide will pick you from the hotel. Head out for Lake Mburo National Park, a savanna national park that is home to interesting wildlife. Traveling via Kampala-Masaka highway, you will have a stopover at the Equator. Have breakfast at the Equator and enjoy photography at this world landmark. Then continue with your journey to Lake Mburo National Park in Kiruhura district, Western Uganda. On your way to the park, enjoy a game drive that will be rewarding with sighting of amazing wildlife. Check into your lodge and have lunch. Enjoy an evening game drive in the park after lunch. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mburo Tented Camp (Budget) / Rwakobo Rock Lodge (Midrange) / Mihingo Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2: View Game on horseback or Quad Bike
Early in the morning take a morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Possible sightings during the game drive may include: impala, Burchell’s zebra, topi, bush buck, common duiker, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, Bohor reedbuck, buffalo, warthog, bush pig, roan antelope, eland and klipspringer. Have Lunch. After lunch, go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo. On a boat ride, view wildlife as they come to water at the lake. Other possible sightings are hippo, crocodile, Papyrus gonolek, blue headed coucal, southern ground hornbill and mosque swallows. Dinner and overnight at Lake Mburo Tented Camp (Budget) / Rwakobo Rock Lodge (Midrange) / Mihingo Lodge (Luxury)

Day 3: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast take a guided walk to the nearby salt lick. Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Western Uganda. The journey takes you through the Kigezi Region also known as the Switzerland of Africa. You will reach the park in the evening. Overnight at

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, the tour guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for a briefing from the park destination guide about the gorilla tracking activity. After the briefing, start hiking into the forest on the search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Be prepared to move long distances and don’t forget to bring all the necessary equipment to track the mountain gorillas. Upon meeting the gentle giants in their natural habitat you have a full hour to spend sometime with them. During the watching session you can take photos with no flash on your camera. After the trek, return to the lodge and relax all evening. Optional things to do in the evening include taking a nature walk within the forest or take a local community tour to the Batwa Communities, former forest dwellers. Overnight at previous lodge.

Day 3: Return Trip to Kampala
After breakfast start off with a return trip to Kampala having lunch en-route in Mbarara or Masaka. Drop off at your hotel, airport or preferred destination.
