Day 1: Pickup from Kigali. Take a brief Kigali City Tour – Visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site. Travel to the Volcanoes National Park. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park
Our tour guide will pick you from your lodge or from the Kigali Airport. Visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site, a place commemorating the Rwandan people that vanished in the 1994 Genocide. Travel to Musanze (former Ruhengeri) in Northern Rwanda. The journey takes you higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda. Tonight you will sleep to the sounds of the mountain rain forest. Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in the Volcanoes National Park
Early in the morning, report to the park headquarters at Kinigi Village and get briefed about gorilla tracking in the Volcanoes National Park. The guides will allocate you a gorilla group that you will trek. Enter the gorilla sanctuary of Parc National des Volcans (PNV), the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding Virunga Volcanoes. Please note that gorilla trekking is a demanding but rewarding experience that involves trekking for long hours in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. Ensure you bring with you enough water and the packed lunch. The time spent in the forest depends on the movements of the gorillas in their natural environments. After the trek, you will return back to the lodge. In the afternoon, go for the Ibywachu Experience, a local community experience organized by former poachers who have embraced tourism. Day 3: Travel from Rwanda to Uganda

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Go gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The gorilla trek involves walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the endangered gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An inspiring moment that will never fade from your memories! Please note that the trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours. Therefore a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, sit in the forest among the gorillas, listening to them grumble to each other.
