Jinja was previously the industrial capital of Uganda. It is the best known for the Source of the Nile and now sub merged Rippon Falls. Owen Falls Dam is located just down stream from the source of its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean from Lake Victoria. Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Travel from Kampala – Jinja

After breakfast, depart from Kampala for Jinja in Eastern Uganda. Heading east, the journey to Jinja takes you past coffee, tea, sugar plantations and colorful road side fruit /vegetable markets. You will have several stopovers; at the Sezibwa Falls and later at Mabira Forest, home to see primates, birds and butterflies. Go Zipline experience in the forest or take a natur walk through this tropical rain forest. Continue to Jinja. Have lunch in Jinja. Visit the Source of the Nile River. Take a boat cruise to the Source of the Nile that is located within the Lake Victoria. Overnight at 2 Friends Hotel Jinja (Budget) / Nile Resort Hotel (Midrange) / Wild Waters Lodge (Luxury)

Day 2: Full Day Rafting

Enjoy full day rafting along the Nile River. You will enjoy the quiet of the water and know the quiet times of the day. In the evening, drive back to Kampala. Drop off at the hotel or Entebbe Airport.
