Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala – Lake Mburo National Park
After early morning breakfast, our guide will pick you from your hotel and embark on the journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Traveling westwards, you will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka. Enjoy photography at the Equator and feel free to buy souvenirs. after this brief tour, get back on track and drive towards Mbarara. On Arrival within the park, check – in, have lunch and in the afternoon go for a boat trip along the Lake Mburo. During the boat ride ypou may see various animals such as Hippos, Buffaloes, antelopes and interesting bird life. Sum up your day with an evening game drive within the park. Dinner and overnight at Mburo Eagles Nest (Budget) / Rwakobo Safari Lodge (Midrange) / Mantana Tented Camp (Luxury)
Day 2: Game Viewing in Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, take a nature walk to the nearby salt lick area, a place where you can easily see different wildlife licking the salty soils of this rock. Please note that Lake Mburo is the only park in Uganda where a safari can be done on foot. During the foot trail, expect to see wildlife that include Zebras, Impalas, water bark, topis among others. Return to the camp/lodge for lunch. Check out of the lodge and embark on your return trip to Kampala.
